Reapplying for the Fall 2025 Michigan Ross Full-Time MBA Program

Thank you for your interest in reapplying to the Michigan Ross Full-Time MBA Program. We appreciate your dedication and commitment. Here is a streamlined guide to help you through the reapplication process for Fall 2025.

Why Reapplying Is a Positive Step

Being a reapplicant is not seen as a negative by our admissions committee. In fact, it demonstrates your resilience and strong interest in Michigan Ross. Reapplicants make up about 5-10% of our incoming class each year and often become some of our most active student leaders and alumni.

Key Points for Reapplicants

1. Application fee waiver: If you applied within the last five years, your application fee will be waived. Simply select the reapplication checkbox under "Application Fee Waiver Eligibility" in the Getting Started section of the application form.
2. Streamlined process: We have simplified the reapplication process to reduce the time commitment to apply.

Required Components

1. Updated resume: Highlight any new roles, promotions, projects, or experiences since your last application.

2. Reapplication letter: There is no word limit, but typically this is one page. Discuss what has changed since your last application, reaffirm your interest in Ross, and include any additional information you want us to know.

3. New essays:

• Part 1: Ross Experiences in Action-Based Learning (REAL)
  • At Michigan Ross, we believe the best way to learn is by doing. In our Full-Time MBA Program, you will put your skills and knowledge to the test in real-world situations with real stakes. How will this learning environment benefit you, and how do you plan to contribute to the action-based learning experience? (300 words)
  • Michigan Ross is proud to support a community of leaders and impact makers. As a future member of this community, we want to know more about who you are and what drives you. Please choose one of the following prompts to tell us more about what makes you stand out beyond your academic and work experience. List the prompt you are answering at the top of your response. (200 words)
    • What makes you unique?
    • Can you provide a specific example of how you've overcome a personal challenge?
    • What makes you excited to get up each morning?
    • Describe a time when you made a difference in your community or with an individual.

    4. Interview: This is by invitation only.

    Optional Components

    1. Letter of recommendation: You may use the same recommender as before, but if the application requires an email, use [email protected]. Alternatively, you can submit a new recommendation letter if it will strengthen your application.
    2. New test scores: Submit new scores if your previous scores have expired or if you have retaken the test.
    3. Statement of academic readiness: If you are not submitting a test score, provide a statement demonstrating your ability to handle the academic rigor, especially the quantitative coursework.
    4. Additional certificates: Include any new certifications or courses completed since your last application.
    5. New transcripts: If you have earned any new degrees, submit these transcripts. Transcripts from your previous application are still on file.
    6. Updated essays:
       • Part 3: Career aspirations and optional essay. While previous essays are on file, you are welcome to submit updated responses using the following prompt:
       • What is your short-term career goal, and how will Ross help you achieve it? (200 words)

    Tips for Success

    • Self-reflection: Review your previous application to identify areas for improvement. Consider enhancing your resume, essays, test scores, and addressing any gaps.
    • Don’t overthink: Minor tweaks can be sufficient. If you feel confident about your previous submission, you can reuse materials.
    • Timing: Apply in the best round for you, based on when your application will be the strongest.
